Dr. Kim obtained a Degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) in 1995 at the Dankook University, South Korea; subsequently he worked in the Public Health Center for 3 years. He then owned several practices with his wife, Dr. Lee. From 2004-2005, Dr. Kim attended Dr. Deporter’s “Biomaterials & Implant/Reconstructive Dentistry” course at the University of Toronto. During this time, Dr. Kim and his family temporarily stayed in Toronto, and when his family went back to South Korea, they missed Canada and decided to immigrate here. Dr. Kim earned his qualification as a Canadian dentist in 2011 and was licensed as a general dentist in 2012 in Alberta.
Dr. Kim enjoys all aspects of dentistry, but is particularly interested in prosthodontics (implants, bridges, dentures) and periodontics (bone and soft tissue graft). He has completed numerous advanced training courses to develop his proficiency in these fields in order to provide the best care for his patients. He loves working with people of all ages ranging from children to the elderly.
